Our next class will begin January 14, 2015

Enrollment in the Spring 2015 classes is limited to 24 people per site, and the classes will fill as applications are received.   The Rio Grande Valley Chapter Texas Master Naturalist (RGVCTMN) offers training for certification as a Texas Master Naturalist each spring. Training will be offered at two locations. Orientation for both Upper and Lower Valley classes will be on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. in Mercedes.

Lower Valley classes will be held at the Cameron County Annex Building located at the corner of Williams Road and Hwy. 77/83 in San Benito. 
Tthe first class will be Wednesday, January 21, 2015 (Wednesday classes).

Upper Valley classes will be held at Bentsen State Park, 2800 S. Bentsen Palm Drive in Mission.  The first class will be Tuesday, January 20, 2015 (Tuesday classes with two Thursday classes).

A wide variety of field trips will be offered primarily on Saturdays with some on other days.  There is a minimum requirement for field trip
attendance for class completion.  The field trip offerings far exceed the minimum requirement.

Texas Master Naturalist is a volunteer organization.  The volunteer requirement is for certification as a Texas Master Naturalist with further volunteer work being expected annually to maintain membership.
